City of San Francisco

Dome Lounge/Main Lounge – $1,000
Ticket includes a hot lunch and dinner.

The City of San Francisco streamliner began service between Chicago and San Francisco in June 1936. It is the only dome lounge in the Union Pacific Heritage passenger fleet that is still configured for end-of-train service. The car still has windows in the back wall, as well as the necessary exterior lighting, so it can be used as the last car of a train.

 

 

 

Walter Dean

Dome Lounge – $850
Ticket includes a box lunch and hot dinner.

Built in 1955 as dome lounge No. 9005, the car was renamed in 1990 to honor Walter Dean. As an attendant on the City of Los Angeles Mr. Dean had the opportunity to serve Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and President Harry Truman.

City of Portland

Dome Diner - $700

Taking its name from a famous streamliner passenger train, the City of Portland was one of ten dome cars built for Union Pacific in 1955. It remained in service until 1971.

Columbine

Dome Coach – $250

Limited to 4 tickets per person.
Ticket includes a box lunch and dinner.

Named after the state flower of Colorado, the Columbine began service in 1929 as part of a new train that ran between Chicago and Denver. The Columbine remained in service until 1950.

 

Lower Level Coach - $200

Katy Flyer

Coach – $200

Ticket includes a box lunch and dinner.

Built in 1954 as coach No. 5468, the car was renamed in 1993 to honor "The Fast Train to St. Louis" which raced between Galveston, Texas, and St. Louis in about 37 hours.
