July 2013 - Cheyenne Frontier Days
The 22nd Annual Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train is scheduled to run Saturday, July 20, 2013.
Proceeds from the Cheyenne Frontier Days Train benefit the Denver Post Community Foundation, which works to improve and enrich the lives of those in the community by supporting Colorado nonprofits in the areas of arts, youth, education and human services.
Tickets Still Available : July 21 Cheyenne Depot Excursion
The annual Cheyenne Depot Museum Steam Train excursion has No. 844 bringing the Union Pacific Heritage Fleet 100 miles north on a one-way trip from Denver, Colo., to Cheyenne, Wyo.
The train will depart Denver at 1:00 p.m., and arriving at the Cheyenne Depot Museum at 5:00 p.m. Since this is a one-way trip, the Museum does offer bus transportation in the morning (9:00 a.m.) to transport you (from Cheyenne) down to Denver to start the trip, or in the afternoon to return you to Denver. Please sure to add bus fare for each passenger if needed.

June 2013 - Union Pacific Home Plate
No. 844 heads to Omaha in early June, for its annual visit to Home Plate during the College Baseball Championships. No. 844, along with Centennial No. 6939, one of the the largest and most powerful diesel-electric locomotives ever built, will be on display at UP's Home Plate just north of the ball park, on Cuming Street.
