Dear Idaho, Oregon & Washington Onion Shippers,
Union Pacific will continue the streamlined email ordering process for Idaho, Oregon and Washington onion customers to order/cancel empty reefer cars that fall between the 7 day car ordering system allowance. This email system helps to minimize customer confusion, allows customers to efficiently adjust order changes, and allows Union Pacific to react quickly to order changes. Union Pacific anticipates a strong shipping season this year and this system will help UP and customers to ensure orders are filled correctly.
Effective September 5, 2013 , please copy and paste the following template into an email directed to ONION_ORDERS@UP.COM for your weekly reefer requests:
All new orders/cancellations received by mid-night on Thursday of the week prior of the desired reefer request dates will be added to the operational T-Plan.
*This is only for reefer requests that are set to be executed within the next 7 days. All other uses of the Total Car Management System to order cars will not change.
