To Our Customers,

System velocity and terminal dwell were flat from the previous week, and carloadings were down slightly. Maintenance projects for the coming week include tie, rail and bridge maintenance work on eight key subdivisions, with a heavy focus on key routes in Central Texas and the Central Corridor. Below are some network statistics from last week:

  • Carloadings for the week ending April 25, 2015, were 176,690. This is down 1.6 percent compared to the previous week.
  • AAR system velocity was 24.4 mph, which is up 0.1 mph compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was flat to the previous week at 28.3 hours.
  • In total, we had 292,127 cars online, which is flat to the previous week.
