To Our Customers,

Carloadings, system velocity and terminal dwell remained pretty steady over the past week. We experienced a few outages across the network, most notably a bridge fire on our Central Corridor in Nebraska. We worked to minimize customer impacts by rerouting traffic and expediting repairs. Scheduled maintenance projects for the upcoming week include tie, rail and bridge maintenance on 12 key subdivisions, with a heavy focus on key North-South routes, the Central Corridor and Texas. Below are some network statistics from last week:

  • Carloadings for the week ending June 27, 2015, were 178,301 This is up 0.6 percent compared to the previous week.
  • AAR system velocity was 24 mph, which is flat compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was 29.0 hours, which is up 0.2 hours compared to the previous week.
  • In total, we had 298,260 cars online, which is flat with the previous week.
