To Our Customers:

Since 2000, Union Pacific has invested approximately $47 billion in its network and operations to support America's transportation infrastructure. In 2015, we plan to spend approximately $4.2 billion. Almost half of our capital plan is replacement spending to harden the infrastructure, making the network safer and more resilient. To accomplish that, on average, we replace more than two miles of track and install 10,000 ties a day.

Effective January 1, 2016, Union Pacific will implement new versions of the two tariffs listed below. The rates in the new tariffs reflect current market conditions and are subject to the terms and conditions in the tariffs, including Union Pacific's carload mileage fuel surcharge program. Union Pacific will continue to analyze market conditions and reserves the right to adjust the rates accordingly.

UPRR 26111: UPRR 26112 Lignin Liquor will expire on December 31, 2015 and active rates from that document will be transferred to UPRR 26111 Wood Pulp. The rates included in UPRR 26111 Wood Pulp/Lignin Liquor will increase an estimated average of five percent. Individual rate increases will vary on a lane-by-lane basis.

UPRR 26: UPRR 2621 White Paper and UPRR 26311 Brown Paper will expire on December 31, 2015 and the rates from these two documents will be transferred to UPRR 26 Finished Paper. The rates included in UPRR 26 Finished Paper will increase an estimated four percent. Individual rate increases will vary on a lane-by-lane basis.

Specific rates by commodity and lane will be updated and available in our Price & Price Documents Inquiry by November 30, 2015. To receive automatic notification of the new prices when they are available, please go to MyUPRR (user ID and password required) and choose "Customize My Messages" and navigate to "Price Documents" to select the documents to receive automatic notification.
