There will be scattered rain today with a chance of sleet.

Global 2

DOT has indicated this morning they will still not allow the opening of Herbert Drive & Lake Street (the   only truck access route into Global 2) until tomorrow, at the earliest. This is due only to the flooding on Herbert Drive and Lake Street. The city of Elmhurst, Northlake and Melrose Park have considerable flooding due to the rivers overflowing in the area. Drivers are unable to access the Global 2 facility at this time. Outbound trains from Global 2 will be annulled today due to lack of freight from the impassable gate issues.

Global 4/JIT

There will be extensive delays in departure today as trains are held and rerouted around BNSF washed out tracks on the Chillicothe Subdivision. Estimate time of re-opening on this subdivision is 10:30 A.M. on 4/19. I-55 South of I-80 is shut down by DOT and the State Police due to flooding. The I&M Canal is overflowing. There are several other normal truck routes to the terminal off of I-80 as well as the major surface streets in Joliet.
