Dear Intermodal Customer,

Union Pacific, in conjunction with Ferromex, is excited to offer expanded Eagle Premium Service to Mexico’s fast-growing Bajio region. The new service, which is scheduled to start November 4th, features seamless Intermodal service six days per week from Chicago to Silao, five days per week from Silao to Chicago, and five days per week between Silao and Memphis.

The FXE Silao Intermodal Terminal is located in Mexico’s Bajio region in the state of Guanajuato. The terminal’s location in central Mexico makes Silao an ideal Intermodal hub to access the key manufacturing markets of Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Irapuato, Celaya, and Queretaro. This Mexico Direct, all-rail service, allows customers to bypass congested border crossings, minimizing customs clearance delays. Additionally, having access to the largest rail-owned container fleet in North America (EMP & UMAX) provides capacity to take advantage of expanding cross-border opportunities between the United States and Mexico.
