Dear Intermodal Customer:
Union Pacific is pleased to offer a significant service enhancement from Southern California to Kansas City and St. Louis, MO on both domestic containers and trailers. Effective Thursday, November 1, the eastbound service from Los Angeles, CA to KC will go from fourth morning to third evening while LA to St. Louis will change from fourth p.m. to fourth noon availability.
These enhanced, truck-competitive services offer a scheduled transit time reduction of 10 hours to Kansas City and 8 hours to St. Louis, six days a week. Between Los Angeles and the two largest markets in Missouri, UP offers:
· Access to a combined fleet of over 63,000 EMP and UMAX containers
· Container and trailer capability
· Reliable transit comparable to single-driver truck
· Wholesale door-to-door options available through Streamline, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Union Pacific Railroad
