Dear Intermodal Customer:

This is in reference to Announcement Number: IM2013-523, posted on Thursday, Oct 3, 2013. This correction is to the schedules link only, please see updated link below.

Therefore, Union Pacific is revising our intermodal service schedules to optimize train performance from Chicago to Southern California on domestic containers. As a result, there will be slight modifications for westbound cutoffs from Global 1, IL to City of Industry, CA and Los Angeles, CA on peak demand days. There will be a new direct train from Global, 1, IL to City of Industry, CA Tuesday through Friday.

These enhancements will provide the following features:

·         New single point trains on heavier demand days to improve overall performance while maintaining daily service.

·         Redesigned service plans to reduce work events and optimize terminal fluidity; providing consistent, reliable service.

·         Later cutoff at Global 1, IL on Standard service shipments to both Los Angeles and City of Industry, CA destinations.

The combined network changes result in minor schedule adjustments which are detailed in the enclosed link SchedulesThere will be NO changes to bill of lading instructions for interline shipments.
