Dear Intermodal Customer,

Union Pacific is experiencing an increase in empty activity in our Brooklyn ramp, which is causing significant congestion. In an attempt to maintain ramp fluidity and operational functionality, empty ingates will be suspended from Brooklyn, effective Sunday, February 14 at 06:00 PT. Customers are able to return empty equipment to the Albina ramp. Empty reservations will be granted from Brooklyn and Albina. Customers will still be able to outgate empty equipment from Brooklyn while it is closed for empty ingates.

Union Pacific will continue to monitor fluidity at Brooklyn, and as soon as congestion subsides, empty ingates will be accepted. Customers will be notified via intermodal bulletin.

If you have any questions please contact your Union Pacific representative.
