Dear Intermodal Customer:

Union Pacific is implementing service enhancements from Southern California to CSXT markets in the Southeast. Effective Monday, March 25, 2013, eastbound shipments from ICTF, CA destined to Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC will shift from the New Orleans interchange to a streamlined routing over the Memphis gateway, improving our frequency of service by one day a week. CSXT Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA and Florida destinations will continue to route via New Orleans while departure frequency increases to six days a week from ICTF, CA.

This modification to our international network results in schedule frequency and day of week adjustments as well as changes to cutoff and availability as outlined below:

  • Increase the frequency from ICTF, CA to Marion, AR and CSXT Memphis interchange from 4 days a week to 5.

  • Increase the frequency from ICTF, CA to CSXT interchange traffic over New Orleans from 4 days a week to 6.

  • Removal of Tuesday and Saturday cutoffs from ICTF, CA to Avondale, LA (New Orleans local traffic only) while reducing the current Thursday scheduled transit time by 24 hours.

  • These changes also apply to LA/Long Beach on-dock origins.
