The common stock of the Corporation is traded on various stock exchanges, principally the New York Stock Exchange. At January 31, 2001, there were 247,134,266 shares of outstanding common stock and approximately 39,150 common shareholders of record. At that date, the closing price of the common stock on the New York Stock Exchange was $52.98. Cash dividends declared on common stock by the Corporation were $0.80 per share in 2000, 1999 and 1998. The Corporation has paid dividends to its common shareholders during each of the past 101 years.
