Grand Island Community Celebration

Union Pacific celebrated the 150th anniversary of the railroad reaching Grand Island, Nebraska at a community celebration on Monday, June 12 at the Oak St. crossing near W. Front St. The event included a display of Union Pacific’s historic No. 844 steam locomotive and the presentation of a commemorative golden spike from the railroad to Mayor Jeremy Jensen.
