Our Heritage Fleet

The way tradition moves.

Union Pacific's Heritage Fleet is a collection of functioning rail cars from the heyday of passenger rail. Meticulously maintained by Union Pacific employees in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the fleet has been painstakingly restored. Dating back to 1912, the Heritage Fleet chronicles various chapters of Union Pacific and America's intertwined past.

Heritage Fleet exteriors can be viewed by the general public; however, in order to keep the historical equipment functioning and in pristine condition, access to the interiors of the other cars is restricted.
