Dear Valued Union Pacific Customer,
Union Pacific will host two virtual meetings to discuss our Guaranteed Freight covered hopper car distribution program in advance of the customer request period for the upcoming contract year (beginning October 1, 2023). We will provide a summary of performance during the current year and outline plans, expectations and timeline for the new contract period.
The same material will be covered in both sessions – so please attend the session that works best with your schedule. If you have a conflict at both offered times, please contact your Union Pacific sales representative and they can discuss with you individually.

Program Reminders
· This program offers secure, committed and guaranteed equipment in return for a monthly volume commitment; it is offered once per year for a one-year term.
· New and existing participants of this program are able to enjoy a committed allocation of cars every single month at no cost and regardless of market conditions.

Guaranteed Freight Request Process Timeline
· July 1 - link will be provided to request your 2023-2024 Guaranteed Freight commitment
· July 31 – request deadline
· First Half August – Union Pacific confirms commitment level and provides contract for execution
· August 31 – executed contracts due
· October 1 – agreement term begins
