Dear Union Pacific Customer, 

Effective July 1, 2023, Union Pacific will renew tariff UP 4290 using selective increases. 

UP 4290 encompasses the following commodities tied to the following respective item numbers: 

  • UP 4290, Items 100-140 cover Ammonium Sulfate
  • UP 4290, Items 200-240 cover Ammonium Nitrate
  • UP 4290, Items 300-340 cover Dry Nitrogen
  • UP 4290, Items 400-440 cover Dry Phosphate
  • UP 4290, Items 500-540 cover Potash
  • UP 4290, Items 600-650 cover Liquid Nitrogen
  • UP 4290, Items 700-740 cover Ammonium & Potassium Thiosulfate Solution
  • UP 4290, Items 800-840 cover Liquid Phosphate
  • UP 4290, Items 900+ cover Miscellaneous 

The tariff is published using standardized geography groups to enhance consistency and simplicity.  Please utilize Geography Group Spreadsheet Link to look up City, ST combinations within a group.
