Canadian Pacific (CP) has announced the bill for the resumption of CP's Canadian rail service was passed yesterday by Parliament. CP has notified customers and connecting railroads that the embargoes have been lifted for all shipments to and from CP Canadian locations and operations were to resume this morning at 6:45 EDT. Rail service had been suspended since last week due to a labor strike following negotiations with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC), which represents CP's 4,800 locomotive engineers, conductors and rail traffic controllers.

CP has initiated a plan to ensure a safe and effective start-up across CP's network. Customers should return to normal billing procedures for all shipments to and from CP Canadian locations.
