To Our Customers,
Increased demand in the Pacific Northwest continues to create operating challenges for Union Pacific. As a result, many customers are experiencing delays when shipping through the region. Among the steps Union Pacific is taking to improve service in the Pacific Northwest are: relocating and hiring additional crews, slotting trains to manage inbound flow, and working operationally with the other railroads in the region to improve fluidity. We are working diligently to improve service, though we expect it will remain challenging as we work through these obstacles.
