To Our Customers,

Velocity, carloadings and terminal dwell were all close to flat to the previous week. Scheduled maintenance projects for the upcoming week include tie, rail and bridge maintenance on 14 key subdivisions, with a heavy focus on the Northern Region, the Central Corridor and North-South Routes. Union Pacific also will perform a maintenance blitz on the Worthington Subdivision, which is located between Sioux City, Iowa, and St. James, Minn., in September. Portions of the subdivision will be completely closed Sept. 1-7 and Sept. 16-23. Re-route plans are in place, and we have worked with customers along the route to develop individualized plans.
