To Our Customers,

Union Pacific plans to have modified operations during the Thanksgiving holiday. This includes operations on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, through Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015.

During this time, we will operate coal, soda ash and potash, grain, military, rock and crude oil trains. The intermodal and automotive networks will have reduced operations with selected annulments and consolidations depending on volumes.

For manifest traffic, the majority of originating trains scheduled to depart between 7:01 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26 and 6:59 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27 will be annulled at origin. Additional trains may be annulled between 7:01 a.m. Friday and 6:59 a.m. Saturday depending on business levels.

Trains en route will operate to destination. Some yard and local operations may be curtailed based on traffic levels and customer needs. Critical customer-specific switching requests will be protected. Interchange operations will be protected. Interchange operations will be coordinated as required with connecting railroads at all locations.

If your facility requires service during the holiday, please open a Service Issue on our website prior to close of business on Friday, Nov. 20. You may also contact Customer Service at 1-800-272-8777 to have a Service Issue opened on your behalf. Feedback will be provided regarding the availability of service over the Thanksgiving holiday.

This operation plan is subject to change in the event of a major service interruption or weather event. Thank you for your cooperation. On behalf of the employees of Union Pacific, we would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday.
