To Our Customers,

System velocity and carloadings were down slightly compared to the previous week, and system terminal dwell improved. Maintenance projects for the upcoming week include key tie, rail and bridge maintenance work on nine subdivisions, including the Glidden Subdivision rail project west of downtown Houston. Below are some network statistics from last week:

  • Carloadings for the week ending April 4, 2015, were 179,109. This is down 1.5 percent compared to the previous week.
  • AAR system velocity was 23.8 mph, which is down 0.2 mph compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was 28.4 hours, down 0.6 hours compared to the previous week.
  • In total, we had 292,886 cars online, which is flat to the previous week.
