To Our Customers,

During the holiday week, we saw a decline in carloadings and experienced a small increase in terminal dwell. At 27 mph, velocity hit its high point since the first week of 2014. Scheduled maintenance projects for the upcoming week include tie, rail and bridge maintenance on eight key subdivisions.

Below are some network statistics from last week:

  • Carloadings for the week ending Nov. 28, 2015, were 149,967. This is down 11.6 percent compared to the previous week.
  • AAR system velocity was 27 mph, which is up 0.3 mph compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was 28.2 hours, which is up 0.4 hours compared to the previous week.
  • In total, we had 294,759 cars online, which is flat compared to the previous week.
