Dear Intermodal Customer,
With bulletin IM2014-424 dated Nov. 7, 2014 UPRR announced an embargo of Seattle/Tacoma, WA destined freight due to reduced productivity associated with ILWU labor issues.
While the embargo remains in effect, Union Pacific is pleased to announce that effective immediately we will begin accepting ISO domestic reload shipments (IMSC 45) for transportation to UPRR's Seattle, WA intermodal terminal.
It should be noted that with no international marine container shipments moving to Seattle, WA, domestic reload shipments (IMSC 45) may have to hold at origin awaiting sufficient density to run trains.
