Petroleum/LPG/Crude Tariff Renewal

Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) will be taking a selective adjustment effective April 1, 2018 on crude oil, petroleum and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tariff rates published in tariffs UP 4910, UP 4912, UP 4913, UP 4914, UP 4915, UP 4917, and I5TF 1. Products covered under these tariffs include petroleum products, crude oil, asphalt, residual fuel oil, diesel and various types of liquefied petroleum products (LPG). April 1, 2018 prices will be available on our Price & Document Inquiry System by March 10, 2018.

Safety is Union Pacific’s number one priority. As such, we continuously look for opportunities to enhance safety and security for our employees, our communities, and the customers we serve. In regard to rules governing flammable liquids, including the phase-out of DOT 111s, Union Pacific will differentiate rates for DOT 111, CPC 1232 and DOT 117 tank cars for crude, diesel and gasoline commodities. The differentiated rates are intended to encourage customers to transition to the safest equipment as soon as possible.

The rates are available now for review by customers and will be effective April 1, 2018. Please subscribe to tariffs UP 4910, UP 4912, UP 4913, UP 4914, UP 4915, UP 4917, and I5TF 1 in order to receive future notifications.
