Memorial Day Operating Plan

To Our Customers,
Union Pacific plans to have modified operations for Memorial Day. This includes operations on Monday, May 29, 2017, through Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
Yard and local operations will be reduced to the extent possible subject to traffic levels and customer needs. This includes both major terminals and secondary yards.
Major interchange locations will remain open. Mexican and Canadian interchange gateways will have normal operations on Monday, May 29, through Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
There will not be a holiday speed restriction; fuel conservation speed restrictions will be in effect.
If your facility requires service during the holiday, please open a Service Issue on our website prior to close of business on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. You may also contact Customer Service at 1-800-272-8777 to have them open a Service Issue on your behalf. Feedback will be provided regarding the availability of service over the Memorial Day holiday.
This operating plan is subject to change in the event of a major service interruption or weather event. Thank you for your cooperation. On behalf of all of the employees of Union Pacific, we would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday.
