Posted Date: August 13, 2017

To Our Customers,

A derailment has occurred just east of Sallisaw, Oklahoma due to washouts caused by flash flooding. A rail bridge sustained damage and we expect to reroute trains for approximately four days until repairs have been completed. Several roads in the area are flooded and may impact our ability to access the derailment site. At this time, customers with rail shipments moving between Wagoner, Oklahoma and Ft. Smith, Arkansas can anticipate delays of approximately 72 hours as crews work to restore service.

We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause. Thank you for your business. Please contact the National Customer Service Center or your Union Pacific representative with any questions.
