Laredo CY Reopen for Empty Returns

Last week, UP announced a temporary change in receiving empty ingates at the Laredo CY due to capacity constraints. Thanks to your cooperation and quick response, we have been able to alleviate the constraint. Please resume ingating empty returns at the Laredo CY. (Empty returns arriving at Port Laredo terminal will be rejected.)
Port Laredo and Laredo are currently under construction, which will improve our ability to move Customer's freight. As a result, the number of parking spaces have been temporarily reduced at the Port Laredo terminal. The Laredo CY facility was opened in March in an effort to reduce terminal congestion and maintain fluid movement of equipment in and out of the ramp. Empty equipment reservations will be available from both Port Laredo and the Laredo CY. An Intermodal announcement will be sent out once construction is complete and empty returns can be accepted at Port Laredo.
