Service Outage Affecting Multiple Lanes

Announcement Number: IM2015-215
Categories: All Intermodal
Posted Date: June 4, 2015

Dear Intermodal Customer,
Union Pacific will be experiencing a 48 hour outage on our Chester sub. located 85 miles southeast of St. Louis, MO (see map in the attachment below). The outage will begin Sunday, July 5 and run through Monday, July 6. This outage will affect all trains traversing this segment of track.

At issue is an elevated bridge near Halsey Jct. that will be rebuilt.

To minimize impact, UPRR has scheduled this project to take place over the Fourth of July holiday when train volume is expected to be less.

Trains scheduled to run during the holiday will depart as normal, however, will hold north or south of the affected area awaiting the line to reopen.

Overall impact is expected to be minimal due to projections of reduced volume during the Fourth of July holiday.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
