Fox River Grove has had a train station (Northwestern, Metra) since before it's founding. The train is the reason for the village formation and the main mode of transportation from the city of Chicago to the "northwest" lands far out from the urban center.
It is truly a train town where the kids still come out to see the trains as they roar by the castle up on our bluff.
