To Our Customers,

Following winter weather conditions over the past few weeks, Union Pacific operations in Chicago have returned to normal levels. Canadian Pacific experienced a labor disturbance at the end of last week, but it had minimal impact on our network. We had a slight increase in carloadings over the previous week and saw improvement in terminal dwell time.

Below are some network statistics from last week:

  • Carloadings for the week ending Feb. 14, 2015, were 173,659. This is down 3 percent to the same week last year.
  • AAR system velocity was 24.4 mph, up 0.1 mph compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was 29.7 hours, down half an hour compared to the previous week.
  • In total, we had 293,296 cars online, which is about 800 lower than the previous week.

Thank you for your business. Please contact the National Customer Service Center or your Union Pacific representative with any questions.
