To Our Customers,
 
A coal train derailment near the Powder River Basin caused a disruption in our Northern region during the week of March 15. Maintenance projects continue across portions of our network. View our current maintenance projects (user ID and password required).
 
Below are some network statistics from last week:
 
  • Carloadings for the week ending March 21, 2015, were 181,661. This is up 2 percent compared to the previous week.
  • AAR system velocity was 24.0 mph, which is down 0.3 mph compared to the previous week.
  • System terminal dwell was 30.2 hours, down slightly compared to the previous week.
  • In total, we had 290,309 cars online, which is flat to the previous week.
