Union Pacific to Comply with Canadian Pacific Embargoes

To Our Customers,
Canadian Pacific (CPRS) issued embargoes to stop all traffic moving to and from their Canadian locations due to a potential CPRS labor strike. In compliance with embargo requirements, Union Pacific will only accept traffic that was loaded or in the process of loading prior to 12:00 p.m. on the May 27 issue date. No traffic will be accepted as of May 30, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. Included below is a summary of the CPRS embargoes.
CPRS Embargo Summary:
Due to a potential work stoppage, CPRS has issued nine (9) embargoes with intent to stop all traffic to/from CPRS Canadian locations and all traffic interchanged through CPRS Canadian interchanges. Embargoes were issued May 27, and no traffic will be accepted after 12:01 a.m. on May 30, 2018. Permits are allowed for intermodal traffic to ingate, but for no rail movements.
- CPRS001118 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of British Columbia, CN
- CPRS001218 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of Alberta, CN
- CPRS001318 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of Saskatchewan, CN
- CPRS001418 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of Manitoba, CN
- CPRS001518 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of Ontario, CN
- CPRS001618 - All traffic with rail origin or destination of Quebec, CN
- CPRS001718 - Traffic interchanged from CN To CPRS (via Canadian interchanges)
- CPRS001818 - Traffic interchanged to/from CPRS via multiple Canadian interchange locations with multiple roads
- CPRS001918- Traffic interchanged to/from UP - to/from CPRS at Eastport, ID
