To Our Customers,

Following are updates regarding recent weather events that have impacted operations over the past 24 hours. Customers with rail shipments moving through these areas should expect delays of up to 72 hours. Per our recovery plan, customers may see their traffic rerouted around the impacted areas.

High Winds near Tucumcari, New Mexico
The Tucumcari area has seen sustained winds above 70 mph over the last 24 hours. A derailment occurred on a bridge north of Tucumcari, and wind speed continues to hinder our ability to inspect and repair the bridge.

Flooding in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa
Excessive rainfall led to outages over our main line in parts of Eastern Nebraska (Arlington and Columbus) and Western Iowa (Missouri Valley). We are monitoring these locations very closely. As flood waters recede, the affected tracks will be inspected and reopened when safe passage is possible. Due to the flooding in Columbus, the Nebraska Central Railroad has issued an immediate embargo for four stations in central Nebraska.

Bomb Cyclone in the Rocky Mountains and Western Nebraska
An intense winter storm brought very high winds and 9 to 12 inches of snow to Colorado, Wyoming and western portions of Nebraska. As a result of this storm, operations in the Denver, Cheyenne, Western Nebraska and surrounding areas have been hampered.

Potential Flooding in the Kansas City Area
Maintenance-of-way forces are keeping a close watch on the Missouri River, which is expected to crest sometime this weekend. Advance preparations have been made, and we have resources at the ready to support any related service interruptions.

Please refer to our Winter Operations Information and the best practices to follow when winter weather events occur.
