Severe Weather and Derailment Impacting Southern Region Operations

To Our Customers,
Heavy rains and flash flooding are causing washouts and water over the rails in various locations in our Southern Region, resulting in brief network delays. Severe weather is expected to continue in this region over the next 24 to 48 hours. We are closely monitoring these areas and have positioned resources to react quickly to any additional service interruptions weather conditions may cause.
A derailment caused by a truck collision is also impacting operations along the Reisor Subdivision south of Caspiana, Louisiana. Trains are being rerouted around the affected area. Customers with rail shipments moving through the impacted area can expect delays between 48 and 72 hours.
