A derailment near Avondale, Louisiana, is impacting rail operations in the surrounding area, including interchange traffic over the New Orleans gateway. Where possible, trains will be rerouted around the affected area on a limited basis. Customers with rail shipments moving through the impacted area can expect delays between 24 and 36 hours.
