Dear International Intermodal Customer,

Beginning effective at 12:01 am Friday July 3, 2015 Union Pacific will embargo Denver, CO for west coast origin international containers. The embargo is necessary due to a significant shortage of chassis for international containers.

Once in effect, Union Pacific will monitor activity at the Denver ramp. The embargo will remain in effect as long as chassis availability remains below adequate levels. We will consider the resumption of shipments to Denver, CO, potentially through a permitting system, as soon as sufficient chassis are made available by customers and/or their contracted chassis pool provider.

Any freight in the gate at west coast origins prior to 12:01 a.m. Friday July 3, 2015 but not yet departed, will be held at origin until Denver terminal operations improve.

We encourage all International customers to make additional chassis available as soon as possible..

If you should have any questions please contact your UPRR Sales professional.

Sincerely,

Union Pacific International Intermodal Business Team
