New FXE Silao Service

As announced on October 6, 2015 (Announcement IM2015-396), Union Pacific will be offering service to/from Silao starting on November 4, 2015. Updated service, equipment and pricing information is listed below.

Service:
Union Pacific, in conjunction with Ferromex, is excited to offer expanded Eagle Premium Service to and from Mexico’s fast-growing Bajio region. The new service features seamless Intermodal service six days per week from Chicago to Silao, five days per week from Silao to Chicago, and five days per week between Silao and Memphis. Cutoff for the first northbound train to Chicago and Memphis is Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 1800. The first northbound train is scheduled to depart at Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 0100.


Equipment Availability:
Effective Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:00, customers will be able to ingate and outgate empty EMP and UMAX equipment from Silao Ferromex. Customers will have visibility to available empty capacity via the REZ-1 system the morning of October 27. Customers can ingate loaded units starting at 10:00 on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Any loaded unit that has ingated and cleared customs between 10:00 on 10/29 and 1800 on 11/3 will depart on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
