Posted Date: August 18, 2022

To Our Premium Domestic Intermodal Customers:

Union Pacific will implement a temporary pause on shipments ingating at our Twin Cities Intermodal Terminal (TCIT) in Minneapolis, Minnesota beginning Friday, August 19, at 23:59 until Wednesday, August 24 at 00:01. The purpose of the pause is to facilitate construction related activities during our expansion phase. Please note, all traffic enroute to TCIT will be allowed to outgate as normal upon grounding and notification of availability during the ingate pause.

Last year, Union Pacific expanded its intermodal footprint into the Minneapolis/St. Paul market offering service to and from southern and northern California. TCIT is in the heart of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, centrally located between Minneapolis and St. Paul. Union Pacific’s expansion will increase TCIT’s annual lift capacity by five times its current capability by the end of this year. Learn more about TCIT here.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this critical expansion phase.
