Improved Intermodal Service Product: PNW-Dallas (Update)

Dear Intermodal Customer,

This is an update to Announcement Number: IM2017-44 issued on February 6, 2017.

Union Pacific is pleased to announce that effective February 20, 2017 we will be offering an improved intermodal service product between the Pacific Northwest and Dallas, TX.

  • Southbound service from Brooklyn, OR to Dallas, TX (Mesquite) will be 5th AM*. (Domestic only, 5 days per week)
  • Southbound service from Tacsim, WA to Dallas, TX (Mesquite) will be 6th AM*.  (Domestic only, 5 days per week)
  • Northbound service from Dallas, TX (Mesquite) to Brooklyn, OR will be 6th AM  (International and Domestic, 5 days per week)
  • Northbound service from Dallas, TX (Mesquite) to Tacsim, WA will be 6th AM*.  (Domestic only, 5 days per week)

*4 out of 5 days per week

Please see the attached matrix for the service improvement details.  As you review the changes, please note the terminal change from Seattle, WA to Tacsim, WA for Domestic service.   International service remains unchanged with the exception of Dallas, TX (Mesquite) to Brooklyn, OR.

**** IMPORTANT UPDATE ****  Please note that freight going from Brooklyn, OR and Tacsim, WA to Dallas, TX (Mesquite) WILL REQUIRE Intermodal Gate Reservations when this change goes into effect.
