Tacoma South Intermodal Yard: Implementing 1 for 1 Ingate to Outgate

To Our Premium Domestic Intermodal Customers:
Union Pacific will implement a 1 for 1 (ingating a container requires outgating a container) at our Tacoma South Intermodal Yard (TacSIM) due to elevated parking constraints. This process will be implemented effective Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, at 07:00AM PDT and until further notice to reduce parking constraints and return to a safe and fluid operation. Additionally, empty box returns which were paused from TacSIM last week will continue to be prohibited for an additional week until 23:59 Sunday, August 14th.
Please note, TacSIM will continue to be open for outgates and we urge customers to assist the operation by continuing to pull notified units.
