History
This line was part of the Fort Dodge, Des Moines and Southern Railway (FDDMS). In 1968 the Chicago & North Western (CNW) purchased the entire FDDMS. The Boone Railroad Historical Society purchased 11 miles and began running passenger excursion trains. In February 2002, UP donated 1.7 miles of the only remaining right-of-way from the FDDMS, and BSVY started to provide freight service.
