The Coos Bay Rail Line is owned and operated by the International Port of Coos Bay. The railroad extends 134 miles from Eugene to Coquille, Oregon. Primary products handled by the CBR include lumber, woodchips, plate steel, treated wood, Ilmenite and organic dairy feed. Presently CBR has 10 customers on its railroad.

History

The Coos Bay Rail Line was owned by the Southern Pacific Transportation Co. until 1996 when it was acquired by RAILTEX who sold it to RailAmerica. RailAmerica sold it to the International Port of Coos Bay in 2009. The railroad was not operating from 2007 through October 2011. Operations were restarted in October 2011.
