OYLO operates freight service over 12 miles of track in Northwest Washington. The line consists of the following segments: 1) East Olympia, WA to Tumwater, WA, and 2) Tumwater, WA to Olympia, WA (including the Port of Olympia). OYLO provides switching and haulage for Union Pacific at Olympia, Tumwater and Port of Olympia via BNSF Railway at East Olympia. Traffic includes aggregates, grain, building and construction materials, and plastics. The OYLO railroad provides a vital link to the national rail network via connections to the BNSF Railway and the Union Pacific Railroad, as well as Port of Olympia. Port of Olympia is centrally located between Seattle and Portland, the port provides companies efficient and cost-effective interstate access from U.S. Interstate 5. The port also accommodates on-dock rail service, cargo storage and laydown areas, on-hand equipment and a host of other services.
