History

The company was organized in 1903 as an electric interurban railroad with intentions to connect Omaha, Lincoln and Beatrice. Started passenger service in Lincoln in 1905, but failed to connect the three cities and discontinued passenger service in 1928. NEBCO purchased OLB in 1929.
