Shareholder Mailings

All shareholders receive a notice of the annual meeting and proxy voting card and notice of internet availability of annual report, proxy statement and proxy voting card each March. The company does not mail quarterly financial reports or any other general mailings to shareholders, other than the annual calendar.

Stock Held by a Broker

When a broker holds your stock, it usually is registered in the broker's or a "street" name. Union Pacific does not know the identity of individual shareholders who hold stock in this manner. If your stock is in a street-name account, you are not eligible to participate in the Union Pacific's Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP). Also, you will receive your dividend payments, annual report and proxy material through your broker. You must notify your broker, not Union Pacific or Computershare, if you wish to eliminate unwanted, duplicate mailings.

Lost or Stolen Stock Certificates

If your stock certificates are lost, stolen or destroyed, you should notify Computershare Investor Services in writing immediately at the appropriate address above.
