History
The east end of this line was built by the Choctaw Coal & Railway Company in the 1880s. In October 1894 it was leased to the Choctaw, Oklahoma & Gulf Railroad and in 1904 to the CRI&P railroad. Following the abandonment of the CRI&P, the state acquired a portion of the line from El Reno to Geary, which was operated by the North Central Oklahoma Railroad prior to ATLT taking over in May 1985. ATLT owns the line from Geary to Watonga. The CRI&P Bridgeport branch has been operated since July 1986.
