Columbus Community Celebration

Union Pacific celebrated the 150th anniversary of the railroad reaching Columbus, Nebraska at a community celebration on Monday, June 12 at the 26th Ave. crossing. The event included a display of Union Pacific’s historic No. 844 steam locomotive and the presentation of a commemorative golden spike from the railroad to Mayor Jim Bulkley.  

Through late August, a special exhibit is on display at the Columbus Public Library.
