Kimball Great Race Celebration
Kimball is located on the original transcontinental railroad line, first reached during construction on Aug. 29, 1867. To commemorate Kimball's role and the 150th anniversary of this momentous achievement, Union Pacific presented a commemorative Golden Spike to Mayor Keith Prunty during a special recognition ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, shortly before the Farmer's Day parade.
