Roseville Community Celebration

Union Pacific celebrated the 150th anniversary of the transcontinental railroad reaching Roseville, California, at a community celebration on Wednesday, July 19, at the Roseville City Hall, 311 Vernon St. The event included the presentation of a commemorative golden spike from the railroad to Mayor Susan Rohan.

The public also is invited to view a special Great Race to Promontory community exhibit that traces highlights of the building of the transcontinental railroad. The exhibit will be on display in Roseville City Hall July 19 through Aug. 2.
